Krasnodar is the centre of the Ekaterinoskaya and the Kubanskaya . The most important church is the Svyato Ekaterinskii ( St. Ekaterina ) Cathedral, construction of which began in 1900 and was completed in 1914 ( achitect Ivan Malgeb ) . It is the largest church in the Kuban capital, and at the beginning of the last century was the largest church in the Kuban region of the time.
