The Great Buddha Hall, Daibutsuderi Wood, National treasure
This is the largest wooden structure in the world, but the Original hall, built in the Nara Period ( 8th cent.) , was considerably larger. The present building was constructed at the beginning of the 18th century. The Hall was twice destroyed by fire.
