Tekst achterop de kaart ; Singapore: Circular Road; situated within the Central Business District, it is sandwiched between Boat Quay & the finacial hub around Raffles Place; it was the enclave of Teochew merchants operating their modest businesses from the shophouses lining both sides of the street with some units being occupied by Chinese clans & societies; the 6- Storey Building with the Chinese - styled roof was completed in 1932; this street falls within the governament gazetted conservation area ( ca. 1935 ).
